The third Australian Ocean Renewable Energy Symposium (AORES) is a forum for industry, researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to exchange ideas and discuss the development of Australia’s ocean renewable energy sector. Topics span wave, tidal, river and ocean currents, ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC), and hybrid systems. Keynote presentations from leading international and industry experts will place Australian developments in a global context.
Key themes include:
technology development and performance
hydrodynamics, loads and survivability
arrays, systems and grid integration
resource assessment and site characterisation
environmental and social impacts
deployment, operations and economics
policy, regulation and markets
AORES provides a valuable networking opportunity for PhD students in ocean renewable energy to connect with fellow researchers, industry representatives, and the broader Australian ocean energy community.
